Easter 2012

Hey, hey, hey! I know, I absolutely stink at this whole blogging thing, but whatevs...I'm going to keep on keepin' on. ;-) Here are some shots of my little family on Easter. It was very cool outside and my kids were O.V.E.R. taking pictures. Oh, and I have a crappy camera so this is as good as it gets!
Jax and Elle looked precious, as usual. ;-) I may be a little partial. Although we didn't travel to be with family this Easter, I knew it was going to be a good day once we got to church and they were playing an old Jaci Velasquez c.d.!!! It was, and still is, my favorite Christian c.d. so I was overly happy about that. I listened to "On My Knees" and "Flower In the Rain" more times than I care to share growing up. Those songs NEVER get old. Here are some pics. of Easter morning at our house.
HAHA! She cracks me up! Jax LOVED the letters the Easter Bunny left he and his sister. He probably read them no less than 10 times each throughout the day! ha! Oh yeah...the Easter Bunny also brought Jax a bike this year, BUT ONLY because Jax just recently learned to ride his tiny 12" one and he desperately needed a new one. I mean, a kid can't be caught riding a 12" when he's almost a 6-year-old, right?!?! Although, that's NOT the reason the Easter Bunny was so generous...it was really because his knees were hitting the handle bars and almost causing him to wreck - YIKES! Daddy had promised that if he learned to ride his bike, he would buy him a new one. It just happened to be Easter weekend when he learned so we decided to go ahead and let it be from the Easter Bunny...it all comes out in the wash anyway, right?!?! ha! Don't worry, he has been warned that next year's basket might not be so "egg-stravagant". Somebody stop me....... My Mom and Nana came up to stay with Elle while I chaperoned a field trip to the zoo with Jaxon's class and, of course, they showered them with their own Easter gifts. Pajamas, shirts, swim suits, balls, toys, etc. - you name it! lol My kids are spoiled blessed beyond measure. The baskets were great, but the highlight of my Easter this year was most definitely when Jaxon told me that Mr. Don (his Sunday School teacher) told him to share the Easter story with the whole class since he already seemed to know the whole thing. lol I'm sure he was interrupting as he told the story, but it warms my heart to know that my child is listening and learning and absorbing all things Jesus Christ! I LOVE that! He has a WONDERFUL memory also because we probably haven't read the entire Easter story since last Easter. Hope you all had a wonderful Easter as well!!! We serve a risen Lord...what's not wonderful about that?!?!
